Hair Myths Busted!

  • Pull one grey hair out and 3 more will appear in its place. You are not going to cause 3 hairs to grow where 1 once was , if it were true there would be no baldness in the world!

  • Brush your hair 100 times for fast growing thicker, longer hair: brushing your 100 times or excessively is more lightly to cause damage than invigorate your hair.

  • Eating bread crusts will make your hair curly:If this were true we wouldn't need perms, curling tongs or rollers and hair salons would be in serious trouble!

  • Shaving your hair will cause more hair to grow: You have all the hair follicles you are going to have already so shaving can not cause more hair to grow dont worry!

Skin Myths Busted!

  • Eating chocolate gives you acne: Acne is caused by a combination of factors and chocolate is not a trigger factor!

  • Skincare stops working after a while and your skin becomes immune to its benefits: Our skin and bodies change on a daily basis so what was recommended today might not suit in a month or a year's time. It is important to get your skin assessed professionally each time before you invest in new products,

  • Oily skin doesn't need moisturizer.: The skin is made up of oil and water to give hydration to the skin tissue. Oily skin still needs hydration and often going with an oil free moisturizer rich in humectants can do the trick for giving hydration without the additional oils.

  • Toothpaste is a spot treatment : Toothpaste can contain an ingredient called triclosan which is antibacterial and drying however toothpaste is not a spot treatment and isn't meant to be applied to or left on the skin so it's very doubtful it will help spots.
